Marine Education

The Thai Ocean Academy Marine Education ECA Program is an engaging, hands-on learning experience designed for students aged 8 to 18 years. Led by experienced Marine Biologists, the program introduces students to the fascinating world beneath the surface while inspiring a lifelong appreciation for our oceans and the importance of marine conservation.

Every ECA program is custom designed to meet the individual goals of each school, complementing existing curricula and adapting to different age groups and learning outcomes. Lessons combine interactive classroom activities, practical experiments, scientific inquiry, and real-world conservation projects to create an exciting and meaningful educational experience.

As students progress through the program, they explore an increasingly diverse range of marine science topics. Younger students build a strong foundation by learning about ocean habitats, marine animals, food webs, biodiversity, pollution, and simple conservation actions. Older students advance into more complex subjects including marine ecology, coral reef ecosystems, shark and ray biology, oceanography, climate change, marine research methods, citizen science, habitat restoration, and human impacts on the marine environment.

For schools looking to provide additional experiential learning opportunities, the program can also include swimming pool activities, snorkeling, scuba diving, marine field trips, and citizen science expeditions, allowing students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world environments under the guidance of our marine biologists and professional dive educators.
