RAID Explorer 30 dive training

Ready to take the next steps in Scuba Diving and become an Advanced Scuba Diver? The Explorer 30 course will take you to 30m depth and upgrade your diving skills with various training dives.

The program takes 2 days to complete. Prior to day 1 you will need to complete some online theory.

Day 1 - We will jump straight in the water and complete 3 dives. Typically we will complete the Buoyancy dive, the Deep dive, and a Drift Dive on Day 1. At the end of the day the instructor will review your quizzes and issue final exam.

Day 2 - On day 2 we will continue building upon what we learned on day 1. Usually completing a dive on one of our wrecks, and the required Navigation dive.

Each day we will start at our shop at 8:00am – Location

You will need to bring your swimsuit, a towel, some suncreen (reef safe please) as well as a positive and engaged attitude! When we are on the boat, there is snacks, fruits, lunch and drinks all on board for you.

Day 1 – After meeting at the shop we will travel to Bali Hai pier and board our boat for the day. We will do 3 dives and have a hot lunch served part way through the day. We plan to arrive back to the shop around 4:00pm.

Day 2 – Similar to day 1, however after arriving back at the shop, there is some administrative things to finish up so plan to be a little bit later than 4:00pm.

Frequently Asked Questions About Advanced Scuba Training

I have not Dived in 1 year, Can I start my Advanced training or do I need a Refresher?

Typically our instructors will review all basic diving skills during the Buoyancy dive, and this is what you would get in a refresher day. So although you can book an additional day its typically not needed.

Do I get to choose the 5 dives for the Advanced training?

Yes and No, there is some flexibility, but it is required that you do 3 of the dives: 1. Deep Dive 2. Buoyancy Dive 3. Navigation dive. You can select 2 other dives, however we have found people always choose to do a Wreck dive and either a drift or a naturalist dive.

Is RAID Recognized by other dive agencies?

YES! RAID and all other major dive agencies follow RSTC standards, which keep us all in line with each other. So when you want to do your next level of training, your RAID certification will be sufficient to meet requirments.
